Macallan - Lalique 55 Years Old Single Malt Whisky

A Macallan lançou em 2008, o segundo Macallan-Lalique.
Este novo whisky com mais 5 anos que o anterior, caracteriza-se perseguir a perfeição entre a junção de um dos melhores single Malt do Mundo e a lendária Casa Francesa productora de Cristal.
O novo decanter (em cor natural), desenhado exclusivamente pela Lalique para a Macallan, está limitado a 420 decanter assinados individualmente.
Segundo Ken Grier, Director da Macallan “At The Macallan we insist on natural colour. It is the interaction of spirit and wood alone which delivers the rich diversity of colour evident throughout The Macallan range and we used this as the inspiration for the design of this decanter, the second collaboration between The Macallan and Lalique".
O Macallan de 55 anos contido neste decanter Lalique, é um Cask Strength (40.1% abv), amadurecido em cascos de xerez, durante mais de meio século na Easter Elchies House – a sede "espiritual" da Macallan, em Speyside -Escócia.
Segundo a destilaria as notas de prova são:
Colour: Dark rosewood
Nose: The liquid has aromatic notes of exotic,
Paladar: Sweet dried fruits with a hint of peat-smoke,
Finish: Is wonderfully soft, smooth and spicy with lingering touches of citrus.
